Top Books I read Last in 2022
1. Winter's Orbit by Everina Maxwell (Sci-fi Romance, M/M, arranged marriage, one of them has dealt with abuse in their past)
2. The Darkness Outside Us by Eliot Schrefer (Sci-fi and Mystery with some horror, M/M, two people on a long distance space mission, but something isn't right)
3. His Secret Illuminations by Scarlett Gale (Fantasy Romance, F/M, warrior woman and soft boy monk, reversing the traditional romance dynamics)
4. A Marvelous Light by Freya Marske (Edwardian Fantasy Romance, M/M, magic is hidden from most of the world, somewhat slow burn, but there are explicit sex scenes)
5. More Than Enough by Elizabeth Wambhein (Beauty and the Beast retelling, Ace protagonists, one of which is sex adverse, dream like world building)
Bonus Books!
6. A Cruel and Faded Light by Ashley Shuttleworth - (YA Fantasy, F/F, M/M and an Ace character, sequel to A Dark and Hollow Star, this one is a lot more political than the first and takes place entirely in the fae realm, my fave M/M couple finally got together yay, but the ending was brutal)
7. Killing Time by Della Van Hise - the infamous Star Trek tie-in novel, time travel shenanigans by the Romulans results in an alternative timeline, really enjoyed the look at Captain Spock and Ensign Kirk, plus Bones in a Romulan slave costume!
