Challenge #7

Make a list of fannish and/or creative resources.

Last year for this challenge I made a list of resources for icon making and I still stand by that if you're interested. This year's list is going to be a random mix of communities to check out, some on Dreamwidth and some on Tumblr.

Recs and Commenting:
- fancake - reccing community that has monthly themes
- recthething - weekly Thursday rec posts
- comment_bingo - bingo challenge where you comment on other people's fanworks in order to earn a bingo. You can see my bingo card from the most recent round here.
- Comment Exchange - you submit one of your fics with low engagement to get promoted, in return you have to comment on someone else's fic

Event Promo:
- fandomcalendar - the place to promote fandom events on Dreamwidth
- The Big Bang Blog - promotes upcoming Big Bangs and other upcoming fandom events
- Mcsprik Events - do you love Star Trek's McSpirk?  This blog is running several events this year.  Currently they are running a Bingo and a Big Bang.

Zines:
Are you like me and always finding out about zines after they are over and done with and there are no copies left?  Well not this year!  Here are some upcoming zine projects to follow.
- It Began in a Garden - Ineffable Husbands zine about them in their South Downs Cottage
- Terms of Service Zine - zine about all permutations of the Star Trek triad, Kick/Spock/McCoy (2nd edition)
- Home & Harbor - a zine for X-Men's Gambit/Rogue
- Even Kell - Steddyhands zine, that is Izzy/Ed/Stede from OFMD (I applied for this one, but didn't get chosen)
- The Best of Times - Doctor Who's Ten & Donna or Fourteen & Donna gen zine (2nd Edition)
- We Go Together - Star Trek's Spones, that is Spock/McCoy, zine (I am actually part of the behind the scenes team for this one, my role is mostly just cheerleader)
