Oh boy, this challenge is made for me, I rec a lot. First off, I recced a few fairy tale AUs on Snowflake Challenge Day 3, so check those out if you missed them.

On the last day of last year's Sunshine Challenge I recced over a dozen vids from a variety of fandoms, including Star Trek TOS, GOT, SPN, and Elementary among others, so if you like vids go give that one a gander.

I have made a couple of SPN fic rec lists, a Sastiel rec list (also on Tumblr), and a Wincestiel rec list (also on Tumblr).

Now for a some things I don't think I have recced on my journal before:

Reccer's Note: I discovered this fic last year and now it is one of my favourite Trek fics ever. This fic is as well written and plotted as any of the tie-in novels I have read. It is about McCoy, who is kidnapped by non-federation aliens who force him to work for them. Meanwhile, Kirk, Spock and everyone on the ship, are grieving for McCoy, because they think he died in an explosion. The author does an excellent job balancing action and character moments, and their pacing is really good. They do not sugarcoat over how traumatic this situation is for Bones, they give it space to breath, while also moving the plot forward, which is not always an easy task. Although the story is McCoy focused the writer also does a good job with Spock and Kirk, and the characterization of everyone felt on point. Plus, they added some really interesting original characters. Also, I like that they took the time to explore the aftermath of such a situation, and not just skim over it, like they would have at the end of an episode. If McCoy is one of your faves, and you enjoy hurt!McCoy you should read this!

Hellish Love, Heavenly Lust by TheLinThing

Loki's guide to basic skills for former TVA agents by Melime

Summary: Still at the TVA but with no one in control, Mobius, B-15, Casey, and the others struggle with some basic tasks. As the only one of them who remembers his life in the timeline, Loki is often asked to help. The only problem is that he's a spoiled prince who never did any chores in his life and isn't very good at admitting that.
Featuring laundry, garbage disposal, minor injuries, grocery shopping, and cooking.
Reccer's Note: I may be a little biased about this one, because it was written for me as a gift, but I find it funny and delightful. Poor Loki is trying so hard to teach the TVA about everyday chores, even though he has no idea what he is doing himself. He gets so close on occasion, like he is getting the basic concepts, but he just can't make it work.


Geralt/Jaskier vid, I know this song is over done when it comes to fanvids, but I really like how it was used here, and the vidder's choice of clips. (Spoilers for season 2 for both Witcher vids)


Cahir & Fringilla vid, I love their fucked up relationship, and this vid captures it perfectly (also available on AO3).


Loki, the parallels the vidder picks out are really great. (Spoilers, the vid uses clips from the Loki TV series, but it doesn't give away a lot)
